This will be my first time actually vaccinating chicks as last time I owned them I didn’t believe it was necessary nor that realistic, basically because of the fact it’s a chicken and just didn’t believe it.However after doing more research I’ve found it’s actually more common and I guess can be pretty helpful however I’m aware it won’t be entirely effective and the birds are still capable of catching it, but I still would like to vaccinate for Poultry respiratory disease and mareks, but am unsure of what I should give them, and how I should give it to them.Any tips would be great!

The Mareks vaccine needs to be given to one day old chicks.

There is also some debate (just for complete info) on whether the vaccine actually is making the disease worse.

A lot of people buy vaccinated chicks and don't vaccinate those they hatch themselves. Most of the vaccines come in huge amounts (like 1000 to 10,000 doses) so you would be wasting a lot of it. Each vaccine has different requirements.

Once you decide for sure what you really want, search for that specific vaccine and how to administer it.
