How to wash a chicken.

Hi all, not really sure which category to post this in.
One of my chicks is pretty much disabled now, and keeps laying in her own poo. I’m gonna give her a bath tomorrow, I’m wondering which shampoo does everyone use if you wash your chickens? Thanks

I like to use Dawn liquid soap or gentle dog shampoo. Be sure you blow her dry so her feathers aren’t wet when returning her outside. Post pix of before and after......Spa Day is always so much fun!

Edit; Since it is just her bottom, you only need to bathe that area and not the whole bird.

It will help to put her in a tub of warm water so her butt soaks for 15 or so minutes. That will make it much easier to wash off the poo.
