I'm still new to chickens and I was looking for a way to worm the chickens..I'd rather not put actual medicine in them if I can help it..I've read different things about garlic/pumpkin seeds..anyone have any experience with this?

It would be best to get a fecal float to see if they actually have worms and if so, what type. IF worms are confirmed, then using an anthelmintic that treats the type of worm would be the way to go. Your vet would usually recommend what to use and give you information.

If vet care is not an option and you feel your birds do need to be wormed, the it's still best to use an anthelmintic.
Fenbendazole and Valbazen can be used to treat most worms in poultry.
Praziquantel is can be used to treat tapeworms.
