i fixed my girls hip by slowly* stretching one leg out to the front & downwards, as tho she would when stepping, & then circling her leg towards the back, again, just like stepping, & keeping it up in a tuck after the stretch. then, while keeping the first leg tucked, switched to cradle her on the other side to do the other leg. same thing, slowly down & around into a tuck. i did this several times over a cpl days, just for exercise really, as she had stopped walking around for a few days- so to keep her feet from cramping up, etc.. & just coincidentally, on one rotation when the first hip joint was set in a tuck, the other hip popped back into place. she has been to the vet for x-rays & the doc missed it.. but given how suddenly she developed the issue, i knew it wasn't disease related. i did have her wrapped before, i had some wide elastic like in the top of sweatpants & just wrapped it around her whole body, while her legs were tucked, wings & all & putting the band right under her foot pads, so she was basically holding it like a perch & then safety pinned it (pointy side away from her of course in case she popped it open). i then bundled her in a hand towel. she did get warm quick tho, so i switched it for a dish towel. i wrapped her again after the hip popped back, but the next day she had squiggled out & was standing - a day later she was walking & then hopping after a cpl more. her vertical jump isn't the greatest, esp. if there is too little head space- like she can't jump on a perch if its too close to the ceiling, but otherwise she's great.
