How well do your Swedish fly?

My male does this flapping thing like he is saying take off but he doesn't go anywhere.

Mine do that all the time. When one starts...the others do it too. Then they run back and forth across the yard obviously trying to impress me with their wingspan and tippy toe abilities

My swedish ducks have little stumpy wings and big fat bottoms. My khaki's can run, and flapping, look like they may take flight, but the pekin and the swedish ducks are firmly rooted on this earth. Your husband need not worry... if the ducks happen to fly, then it means that there is a tornado, and your house and barn are also likely airborne...

Our blue Swedish could get about 3 feet off the ground and fly for probably about 5-7 feet across. That's about it. They were rather bottom heavy, so lift off was tough.
