How well does the red ranger chicken lay?

I believe we will be selling our house and moving in the spring. Still deciding on that but since we could be in rethinking what I will do different the next go round. I’d like to have a flock I breed with the intent of raising and eating the roosters but keeping the hens for eggs. I know Red Rangers grow fast and can be bred but I’m not sure about egg production.

Any breed or hybrid can be bred and reproduce, even Cornish cross. Other than the fact that Red Rangers aren't known to be very productive, as hybrids, they won't breed true. That means their offspring won't be the same quality of meat bird. If you want a productive bird and eat the boys, you would best use one of the traditional dual purpose breeds.
