I (and my children) have a beautiful rooster we hatched at home last year. His parents were golden comets so he's not purebred anything. Everyone who comes over comments on what a handsome bird he is. We were wondering if it's possible to show this kind of bird at a fair. If so, does anyone know how we'd go about it? Also, can someone tell me how to post a photo on here? If so, I'll show you our handsome Otto II. Thanks!

as far as i know you cannot show a chicken that is not purebred. I know there is usually a AOV (all other variety) class but i beleave that is just for project colors etc of a pure breed

Does your fair have a showmanship class ? I'm not sure if non standards can be shown in that. they can not be shown in conformation. Does your county fair have a photography contest ? maybe you could show his Picture [IMG]
