my pigeons mated a week ago and i was wondering if there are any signs to look for in the female that says she will lay here first egg.

In a perfect world your pigeon should lay her first egg in 10-14 days. The only sign I am familiar with is the one you are currently displaying; Trying to maintain patience until it happens LOL.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

ive noticed that my hens will spend days even but especially nights on nest brooding constantly and attack me or just not budge when days close to laying, and also they will scratch and shuffle around in corners and crevices if no nest spot suitable, and throw stuff around and try to set up a nest area more how they want it. sometimes males do same, but usually just watch and stay close or in nest too, and theyll both sometimes but usually females grunt or sound like laughing at me when get to close. my flights and coop tumbler hens attack my hands and face fiercer with talons (docile breed my butt!), and not just usual wing slapping and pecking.
