how will the silkies turn out

i have a very pretty show quality grey silkie and a white silkie roo and i got some eggs being set on by chance has anyone tried this and how will they turn out

It is hard to say. The white could be gold or silver based. Most likely you will have some greys and some partridge. You really won't know till they hatch. Have fun with the babies.PO

kk well i figured that grey is a light blck manly and the white would make them a bit light grey

Others are more knowledgable on this, but it doesn't work like that. White in the mix changes everything. I had a link somewhere of silkie color genetics. Let me see if I can find it.

Okay I can't find the cool chart I had, but if you do a search for "silkie color genetics" there are several threads on here that explain it. Basically the white is masking another color. When you breed another color to a white, you can get all sorts of different colors.
