I had mostly fully fluffed chicks walking all over a newly hatched chick this morning (which I now see has wry neck) and when I opened the incubator I used a cool moisture humidifier on full blast right next to the unit and only opened the lid halfway, the humidity actually went up several degrees when I was done. But I am now worried about some of the eggs that had already pipped before then.
One in particular has had its beak sticking out of the shell and just keeps opening and closing its mouth rapidly, no other change. This is the same parentage as the wry neck chick. Though 2 other of their babies have hatched perfectly healthy.
Another chick has hatched since then. I just don’t know if I should start thinking about the potential that I shrink wrapped them, or could it just be a sign this one has wry neck, too?
