How would I add more ventilation to this shed?

The shed plans come with a sliding window but I don't think that's enough ventilation. How would I add more? Where would I add it? http://www.magnacatch.com/free-shed-and-house-plans/

Open up all the soffits - the roof overhang isn't wide but there's a board hanging down all the way around that'll easily provide weather protection.

I'd add more windows as well, either top hinged awning style or place conventional windows smartly in directions facing away from prevailing winds.

I have a plastic shed. I used house metal vent covers. I cut rectangle holes just a bit smaller then the vents and used screws to attach it. Because the plastic isnt that thick, I used a block of wood to screw the screws into on the back side of the plastic.
You could put one or two on each side up higher above the roosts. Because the vents I used are metal, I use magnets to cover some of them for winter.

How small? Recommended ventilation is 1 sq ft per bird, more is preferable.

I was thinking 1 food wise 3 feet long on all sides but the front

So about 9 sq ft on 3 sides, and then 3 sq ft in the window (assuming it's about 2x3', but it only opens halfway), so that would be minimum ventilation for 12 birds. Not sure how many birds you were planning to get?

4 birds to start out with, but in the future 6-10

Sounds good! But I'd still want to add at least 1 more window, for light as well as ventilation... and that's how I ended up with 5 windows.
