hi everyone-I hatched out a batch of chicks and I promised to sell my friend 4-6 pullets and a silkie ( sex unknown) well from what I figured out -with everyone from BYC's help -is I have only 4 pullets to sell her-she only wanted for eggs-first time owner with her 10 yr DD-not interested in roos or breeding just a few new pets!

1 barred rock pullet
1 light brahma pullet
1 dark brahma pullet
1 not sure what breed
and 1 PQ silkie
they are all 6 weeks old and very spoiled rotten-how much would you ask for them-?? thank you for your help

Ok, here's what I would charge after careful consideration...

Barred Rock Pullet --- 355.95
Light Brahma Pullet ---- 295.95
Dark Brahma Pullet ---- 405.98
Mystery Breed ---- 996.45
PQ Silkie ---- 4.95

I wish I could!! I am sure Brian is still recuperating from the last long trip with all those chickies.

I am battling a gnat problem with all the rain we have had here. I can't bring in any new birds. Maybe post some pics of the birds, I bet you will get more responses. Sometimes new members don't know what the breeds look like.

$5 dollars or $10?
Maybe $50 for the whole group?

I don't really know, but I just sold a silkie rooster for $20.

yeah I know I was hoping someone with a little more selling exp than me would just figure a $ up and set a total price for all 5-thats what I was looking for -seriously what woud you pay for them? all 5-I want to be fair but also shes going in on it with her landlord! they are so excited-you dont see chickns in our town much!

Friends don't sell friends anything.
If she's not "that" good a friend then what you think she can afford and then divide that in half.
If she's not even "that" good a friend then don't divide that amount.
If you want more then your not her friend.
My personal experience. Never do business with a friend if you want to remain friends.
I say just give them to her, with a Happy Birthday to you.

I just realized your from NY. I just went to an auction where silkie chicks were going for $1.75 ameracuanas $2.00 or there abouts. very cheap chickens. Hens too. There's going to be another in July in Parish I think. Def in July tho.
