how would you ask for these-pullets and silkies

When I take 6 week olds chicks to the auction I get anywhere from 5.00-8.00 depending or what is available. You should remebr you have done the hard part and got them successfully through the brooder stage. I sell occassionally to a man who likes to bargain I learned early on if you ask 10.00 he'll offer you 8.00 so now I tell him 2.00 more than I want and he thinks hes getting a bargain. This way we are both happy. He just bought 8 Buff Orps from me 7 cockerels and 1 pullet for 8.00 each.

Well, I got 4 australorps from a breeder, and they were 10 a piece already laying - nice birds too, all were under a year when I bought them. Also recently got 2 PQ silkies for $3ea. and a salmon fav who is now my top laying hen for $8... I just sold 3 EE's st. run for $5 each at about 6 weeks old. Maybe I didn't charge enough, but considering what I paid for my laying hens, I thought it was a fair price.
