How would you protect your animals from nuclear fallout?

It is sad when you think that out of all creatures inhabiting the earth, humans are the only ones that pollute their own planet so badly in some areas, that they're toxic & no longer support life, humans are the only ones that consistently fight wars, many abuse others as well as themselves, many are greedy, humans constantly change the environment to suit their needs instead of living in harmony, humans seem to enjoy drama, murder & mayhem...wow. Well, good thing Not all humans are identical in these negative ways. I think as long as there are folks around the world that post cute photos of baby chicks, and more folks that love to see such photos, we will be OK. 😆 🐣 🐔 🐥 ❤️
I absolutely hate all this anti human talk. Yes, humans can be evil. But animals don't live in harmony with each other, like a damn Disney movie. Killer whales and dolphins have been documented playing with seals until they die, then not even eating them. The beaver is so destructive to his environment, he has caused floods in one place and droughts in another, by building the dam. There are quite a few bugs where the female eats the male as they are mating. But since that's "natural" it's ok? Who says humans aren't natural?

I forgot to add the animals that live in herds or prides. When a dominant male falls to a challenger, a lot of times the new dominant male will kill all the babies because they aren't his bloodline. Not caring for or feeding a baby puts the female into heat faster so the new dominant male can breed her and pass his genes on

Don’t be free with info of what you actually have when talking with friends or neighbors, unless you plan on taking them in. Secrecy might be very important for survival…
I have a different take on it. The more people who talk about all aspects of, the more people will do something, or be more effective in what they do. And their sharing helps me be more effective. Then we will all be better off. At least in the most likely scenarios - light to moderate splatter hitting the fan.

And, yes, I have had people say, "I'll just come to your house."

If it is a really worst case scenario, I'm going to either be dead from the bomb blast or radiation or setting a table out at the end of the driveway and giving food away. I can't do what would need to be done to keep it. And wouldn't do it if I could do it. This giving away idea is from my young adult son who most likely could do it. But would not.

Good points. Guess we all have our pros & cons. Some just more than others.
