this is another hypothetical question,

I have a had a loose goose (haha) in my car before, in the passenger's seat. he flapped his wings a lot and tried to get out the closed window. A hand on top of him to steady him stopped most of this. That wasn't a good plan but all turned out well in the end. In the future, knowing they as wild geese have developed powerful wings, would a large dog carrier by itself, covered with a sheet, suffice, and he would not knock himself out or break a wing flapping, or would I need a towel or sheet to wrap around his body + wings loosely, like i see done with swans in some youtube videos, and also the carrier?

thanks

I would loosely wrap with a sheet and place into dog carrier. This way wing flapping would be discouraged. JMO.

Once you get the goose into the carrier take the sheet off and place over the carrier to help keep the goose calm. I'd place old clean towels on the floor of the crate so the goose won't slide around on the slick floor.
