I'm asking for my friend in Plainfield, Indiana.
Yesterday evening she was driving and a goose hit her car (the other goose flew low but this one missed). She stayed with it for a few hours trying to call every rehab she could get the number for, but none were answering, and animal control wouldn't come out for a goose.
He was alert and flapping his wings (she took video), and no blood or lost feathers, but he was limping and didn't seem to think he could fly after his mate. The mate came back and they were both hanging out on the grounds of Duke Power Company on Hwy 40 in Plainfield Indiana. She suspected they would stay put, it was evening and raining.

She's still looking for places to call if anyone might know of anything?

Too bad animal control won't come out. In Iowa, I'm pretty sure the DNR will. They've responded once when I called about an owl that had been hit by a car and was left dazed, and once for an adolescent owl who knocked itself silly against a guy wire while trying to poach my ducks.

Hope your friend can find some help for the geese!

Any update? did she try DNR?

Ugh, poor thing. I'm in IN and I had an inquiry about a Canada goose one time and called several wildlife rehabbers. It was really odd to me, but none of them would do anything for Canada geese. I don't know if that was just the overflow of animals they had to deal with at the time or because there are so many…

I messaged Carolina Waterfowl rescue, they can sometimes help with waterfowl across state borders but they may need help transporting.

Oh, thank you! If that could work out it would be awesome. I really appreciate it!
Note: my friend can't catch a goose (heck, I can't catch a goose :p), otherwise she probably would have already. So, I'm not sure she could provide transport... but I know she wants a good outcome for the birds.

And Thank You, @Callender Girl @Miss Lydia @Isadora !

Here's my friend's response from earlier (I sent her a link to the thread):

THANK YOU! Thank you so much. I called DNR as well as 5 or 6 other organizations or individuals who were recommended. However, it was after hours and either VMs were full or not set up. I stayed with him through the thunderstorm and until his mate returned. By then they were both together pecking at things on the ground. He was moving around and seemed to have recovered from the shock, but I'm pretty sure today he's feeling awfully sore. I suspect they're nested on the grounds of Duke Energy somewhere <3
