Howdy all from Central Texas

Howdy all. Been nosing around the site for a while gathering info. My kids received Easter chicks this year. I've always wanted chickens but always wanted to wait till we weren't in the city anymore. They're roughly a month old now, mostly covered with feathers. I just put them in their coop I built today for the day. I think I'll continue to bring them in at night for a while. Biggest fear is the dog messing with them now. No clue what breed they are. TSC assorted pulets...

Anyways, looking forward to learning more and adding two more tops to the flock for a total of four. Layers are good but they frown upon roosters in this city.
