Hattieville, Ar
I just registered today with BYC. I had begun the day reading some interesting posts about building one's own incubator. So that got me thinking I can do the same since I do not like the costs of the ones commercially available... I had been aware of this site for some time but have not taken full use of it, I think I shall from now on. Anyway. My name is Booker and I live in central AR-CAN-SAW... out in the country mostly... love my chickens and what a lot of you have done with your birds , houses and such...

I have built a couple of incubators now out of a large styroform coolers. Do a search for MissPrissy. I used her plans except I cut a 4" x 4" hole in the side of mine for hand turning. That way I didn't have to open the top lid and let all the heat and humidity out when hand turning eggs. Good Luck and so glad you joined.
