Thank you for the ideas! I put the No-Crow collar on him and he did his little backward dance for a couple of minutes, tried to peck at it, and then he was done with it. Put him in the coop with the hens who promptly let him know he was not the boss. He is now a very subdued and quiet rooster...for now. We also put up a motion light and game camera and I believe the flash is enough to keep mama bear and her cub at bay. So far so good.
