(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
I got my first flock 11 years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
I have thirteen chickens and two ducks.
(3) What breeds do you have?
I specialize in D'Uccles and I have 6 of them. I also have two easter eggers, one American mottled serama, one American koi serama, one silver duckwing oegb, and one bantam columbian plymouth rock. My drake is a chocolate runner and my duck hen is a Cayuga.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
I love keeping chickens and they are wonderful creatures!
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
I love history, strolling through meadows, crocheting, parrots, chicken exhibition, and reading.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
I am also a parrot enthusiast and I have one cockatiel and a pacific parrotlet!
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
I have been lurking for many years and finally joined for answers to my chicken questions and to talk about fowl with chicken folks!
