I'm a first time chicken owner and just over three weeks into this journey! I'm starting with 15 chicks of various breeds - orpington, brahma, barred rock, sussex, wyandotte, Jersey giant, buckeye, rhode island red, dominique and an easter egger. I'm looking forward to watching their antics and shenanigans (my brother has chickens that are a hoot to watch) as well as getting fresh eggs from truly free range chickens. I'm also a beekeeper and avid gardener. My brother suggested this group to me as it was a source he relied on for information when he first started out. So glad this group is here for support!
