Howdy from a newbie in Colorado!

Just wanted to introduce myself. I have been thoroughly engulfed by this wonderful treasure I have found so I thought I would post, considering I seem to be spending an insanely tremendous amount of time here!!

My name is Deanna and I am brand spankin' new to the wonderful world of chickens. I have 6 RIRs and 5 Barred Rock hens, all about 7 months old. I never knew that chickens were so AWESOME!! I think I have become obsessed...to say the least. ha ha. Thankfully I have a wonderful husband and daughter who put up with all of my kookiness. Anyway, just wanted to say hello to you all. I'm quite impressed with the community here and hope to become a part of it.

Hello and welcome! I am a newbie also! I have 4 roosters and 3 hens, and its crazy you call them that, because we call our 2 RIR hens "the Ruby's" lol! The other hen is a silver penciled Wyandotte, black and white, and acquired the name "Akon" as a baby from my daughters. Anyways, just wanted to say hello! I think this will be a really fun site
