I tried to post some of the pictures I had I my photobucket account, but accidentally used the "IMG" tag, like I normally do on forums, seems I forgot to use the "Direct Link" ... Then I got the notice about I wasn't allowed to post other website link ... That the post would need to be checked ... Only place I got old pictures, and I'm on my iPhone ... I'm a long distance trucker, and gone for weeks sometimes ... My wife never had chickens, but is eager to learn.

When I previewed my post with the pictures using the IMG link, it showed up fine ...

Thank you to whoever got my second post to show up ... Was it just that I used the wrong type of link to my pictures? Or do I need a certain number of post to have that privilege? (It said that I wasn't allowed to put in links to other websites)

We don't eat a lot of eggs, or chicken meat, so high production is not needed, but hope to have a few dozen for long term food source if needed, and a way for them to reproduce ... Besides we want bug removers and garden enhancers!

I really am wanting to get back into chickens again, going a slightly different path ... Looking to be more self-sufficient and raising my own chicks with a broody hen(s) ...

I'm really interested in the Buff Orpington's and Speckled Sussex breeds ...

Howdy! I'm an chicken obsessed newbie in AZ too. My first and current flock contains five 5-week-old Australorps, three 3-week old Buff Silkies, and three 2-week old Barred Rocks, one of which I'm certain is a Roo. Orpingtons and Speckled Sussex are on my wish list too...but honestly, there are about two dozen different breeds on my wish list right now. It's a good thing we live on so much acreage.
