From the Boston Mountains of Newton County. I have only been keeping chickens for 3 1/2 years. I seem to learn something new every day! We have black australorp, barred plymouth rock, speckled sussex, silver laced to blue laced to and golden laced wyandottes, and welsummers. We also have mixes of all of the above. With our most recent brood, we have about 50 chickens. We love to feed treats and watch the antics of our birds!

Welcome to Backyard Chickens. I learn something new every time I am on BYC. I deliberately check in on threads from other states to broaden my knowledge. I tune in to discussions on ducks, geese, emus, etc. to learn the basics, so I can grow beyond what are the bare rudiments.

I am nowhere near an expert but, have enough in mind - that I can refer folks to someone I know to be much better qualified, to help them on their way.
