Hi y'all

My names Randy Drake, grew up in WV around poultry all my life, but recently moved to AZ and looking to get back into the hobby I love so much... I have worked with OEGB, Cochin Bantams, Rosecomb Bantams, Silkies, and a few others, but since moving to AZ I have been researching which breeds would be better suited for the Az climate... I am wanting to work with Ameraucana Bantams & Large Fowl but havent really found much on breed tolerances to heat like we have here compared to WV where it was the cold winters that would wipe out a flock :-(... I know a little about genetics of colors and egg colors... Im always looking to expand my knowledge more... I dont know what else to say really lol other than Im always an open ear for advice on new topics to help me with my experience of keeping poultry...

Hello. I am just getting started with chickens. Trying to decide on breed to get. Want brown eggs. Going to have a small flock. 8 or 10 hens. Faye
 
Thanks everyone... I have decided that when i get into poultry again I am going to work with call ducks & ameraucana bantams... Cant wait cuz i love bantam chickens and bantam ducks :-D
