I’m a young “Chicken Boy” from Central Louisiana. First began chicken ranching with two chickens, one rooster and one hen. Sadly they were snatched by a fox. That’s when I learned that death is apart of ranching. I saved their eggs and hatched them! We also got two ducklings. Started with six chicks. One died of infection in my hands two days after hatching. We lived pretty happy until one died from unknown causes. We currently have 4 chickens, 1 rooster 3 hens. My ducks, Donald and Daisy are grown up and happy, loving and cute. Daisy is broody. That is what is currently happening. Thank you for reading.

Hi Luke, welcome to BYC! Since your daisy is sitting, you may want to keep Donald away from your hens. He may decide to breed them and that could badly injure or kill them.
