We need to start a Central Texas forum! Where are you located? I am in Copperas Cove.
I raise Lemon Cuckoo Orpingtons, Marraduna Basques (Euskal Oiloa), Black and Blue Copper Marans, Welsummers, Gold-Laced Wyandottes, Wheaten Ameraucanas, Easter Eggers, and Welsummers. Getting started on Lavender Orpingtons. I also have a trio of Crele Penedesencas.

If you are close to Killeen, there is a poultry auction south of Killeen on the second Sunday of every month. It's called the Iduma sale and they have a web page. There are a lot of quail, pigeons, etc., sold there as well as chickens.

I am in between Georgetown and Taylor. Not too far from Killeen. It would be about 45 min or so drive. Thanks for the info. Ill will definitely take a drive up to check out the auction..
