Hey y'all! I am Syd.
I started raising chickens last year, its been fun!

Currently we have 17 chickens, well, 13 as of yesterday. (Does selling chickens I raised make me a farmer?!)

I have one Easter egger, 4 Welsummer, 5 Light Brahma, and 3 Cream Legbar. We lost two of our laying flock last month, they were an Olive egger, and Buff Brahma.
I love how silly chickens are, they are so fun to watch and care for.

I also Weave on a rigid heddle loom, garden, sew, and enjoy a bunch of other different crafty things.
My family lives on a couple acres just outside of the city, we are fortunate enough to be in a neighborhood with no deed restrictions or HOA to complain about what we are doing out here.
I am looking forward to getting to know y'all!

That must be rough! I was gone for a month at the end of 2022, boy did I miss my girls. My cuddlechick Marcy was taken by a dog while I was gone, I am glad I missed it, but sad I didn't get to say goodbye, then Sasha flew the coop a couple days after I got back. I choose to believe she made it to one of the neighboring flocks around. I hope you make new chicken friends soon!
