Hi, my name's Ashton, and as my username shows, I keep quail. I sold my flock of cortunix this spring, but am getting more in a month or two. I also plan to get a bantam to incubate and hatch eggs (and I think bantams are a pretty cool bird) and possibly a few guineas. I built an enclosed run for my quail this morning and plan to post pictures of my bird's housing. I also keep fish, but thats really all I have to say for my self.

i'll bet! it's exciting building your stock. i'm at the point where i cannot wait to cull!

everyday i go outside to all the coops and say, "Dear God, please let the chickens grow just a little faster. i don't know what to do with eleventy billion, two hundred and forty three thousand chicks. And bless all the ducks and turkeys. Amen."

what bantam breed do you think you might choose?

i was thinking maybe cochin, something that would be good at incubating eggs

ABSOLUTELY! an excellent choice! they are broody little things. i have some giants and some bantams. LOVE 'em!
