Just started raisin' chickens with my two daughters this month. We have 2 Buff Plymouth Rock and 2 Australorp. Were doing this for the eggs. I'm trying to keep it as organic as I can. I had a chicken when I was growing up in Vt.
I already got some great ideas from this site on building a coop. Which is my next project coming up.
Living here in Massachusetts for now but the plan is to go Kentucky where I bought some farm land several years ago. If only the real estate market would turn around for the better here.
