Howdy From Missouri

Hi and :welcome from Ohio. So glad you joined. Make sure you have a bright light. By 10 days you should see veins developing. If nothing, they weren't fertile and if you see a red circle, the embroyo has died. But, like the others have said you can always give them a few more days. I never refrigerated any of my hatching eggs though. :thumbsup

Thanks 4- Chicken Mom! The chicken eggs I'm incubating right now wasn't refrigerated just the Duck Eggs. I have heard both ways. But from what I gather off the internet says if you don't refrig your success of hatching will be more likely then refrigerated eggs. So I'm hoping if I get some out of this bunch the next ones I'd like to get unfrigerated see what the outcome of it will be;) I'm wanting to get into our local 4-H Club here in Missouri as soon as I get more custom of learning about my Ducks and Chickens and first batches hatched. Think right now I better focus on this. I Think my Sons and I would enjoy 4-H. My oldest is in FFA threw his school he's wanting to raise a Rooster and have for shows. We are all very new to this. The animals we've had in the past are Dogs and Cats. Right now we have 9 cats ( 3 inside of course away and not accessible to hatchings) and 6 outside 4 of which are kittens we just got a couple months ago! We have a Dog outside and A dog inside she also can't access them. We have a 45 gallon tank of fish (goldfish, and snails.) I'm greatful I found this site to be able to ask questions and get experienced anwsers. And of course met new people that share the same interest;)

from Alabama. Glad you joined us. Completely agree with everyone else - it'll be fine to give them a few more days and candle again. Like they say, "when in doubt don't throw it out." lol. Good luck with both of your hatches
