I’m obviously new to the forum. I wanted to stop by and say hello. I am a newly empty nested single mama. I am an avid gardener with a BS is Horticulture and Landscape Mgmt. and a MS in Agriculture Education. I work in healthcare lol. My single parenting didn’t afford me the time or financial ability to be an Ag teacher or traveling Extension Agent lol. I am now in school for nursing which was my initial major in college.
I acquired two smaller hen houses and 8 hens in November as a mental health project, entertainment, food source
. The lady I received them from was a hobby home with little background. There has been a health curve on a few but we are getting there. While I have had chickens in the past, my background is in cattle. I look forward to engaging with others, contributing to conversation and knowledge, and taking away helpful nibbles along the way.
