Found out today that my Arauacana chickens are not Araucana or even true Ameraucanas? The person who sold them to me was told by the seller that they were Araucana, which was a mistake.
True Araucana are rumpless and Ameraucanas must have only certain colors to be considered true. It's no biggy to me just another day I learned something new
Staying on this subject, one of my black silky hens is the proud mother of 4 "easter egger" (The breed name my blue egg layers really are...) chicks.

Out of 6 fertile eggs I had one never fully develop and one die shortly after hatching
I guess that's not too bad having been hatched under my naturally broody silky?
I have 4 more eggs under another black silky, still waiting for those...
