Hello! I am new to this site and new to chickens! Very excited to get started. I have my chicken coop built and all my research complete on how many chickens I am getting, what kind, and how I intend to raise them. I am here for advice, ideas, and information. I am looking forward to the vast knowledge on this site and doing my part as a contributing member.

My husband, my daughter, and I live on 3 acres in SE Texas. We have horses, dogs, cats, and a fish...now...Chickens! We are looking to own chickens mostly as a source for yummy eggs but also as a growing experience for my two year old daughter.

This forum looks fun and informative. Looking forward to it!
