Hello! I am new to this site and new to chickens! Very excited to get started. I have my chicken coop built and all my research complete on how many chickens I am getting, what kind, and how I intend to raise them. I am here for advice, ideas, and information. I am looking forward to the vast knowledge on this site and doing my part as a contributing member.

My husband, my daughter, and I live on 3 acres in SE Texas. We have horses, dogs, cats, and a! We are looking to own chickens mostly as a source for yummy eggs but also as a growing experience for my two year old daughter.

This forum looks fun and informative. Looking forward to it! [IMG]

Quote:Thank you! I see you have a Black Australorp Rooster! I want at least three black Australorp hens. Do you have any information you can relate to me in regards to this breed?

And thank you for raising yet another person to add to our "flock" when she's old enough! She'll love it.
