Hi all, new here. Well, I've been lurking for years, but just now have a home where I can have chickens!
I have these cuties in the garage. I have an area in the yard that I am going to give over to chicken yards and a coop. I hope to build three yards, eventually, so that I can rotate. One is an old dog run that we've cleared of overgrowth. Going to finish that yard in a week or so.
I'm in Texas, so I'm not worried about cold until October. Ugh, this heat! Hope I have enough time to get the coop finished!
We have an acre total and will be gardening as well.
Excited to finally join the ranks of chicken parents. It's been so fun watching and playing with the chicks.
There are a couple that are really friendly and will come over to be held. LOL!
