Howdy! New member from Palmdale, California....

Hello everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself. My family has been raising chickens for 1.5 yrs. We have Salmon Faverolles, Welsumer, Buff Orpington and a few English Chocolates. We are loving our chicken hobby! They are so much fun, and so therapeutic! Not to mention the eggs...all the eggs! The only regret? 'We should have done this a long time ago!'

In addition to the chickens.....lol

My hubby is semi retired and enjoys any excuse to get on his tractor...agriculture in this mans blood....

I enjoy planting something new on occasion and am working on a 'kitchen garden'...I guess that's the new trendy way of saying a garden within steps of your kitchen...(currently my 'garlic' on the window sill is just not cutting it)

We have 9 grandchildren ranging 1-17 years.

About our home:
Palmdale California is located 50 miles north of Los Angeles in Los Angeles County.
Palmdale is part of the 'Antelope Valley' and home of the Antelope Valley Fair every August.
