Hello,

Last year, we decided to get a flock of Chickens. We have 2 Naked Necks: Frances, and Ethel, 2 Sapphire Gems: named & *Peg Leg and also 2 Jerseys - neither has a name yet. We have a decently protected coop for them in our Sonoran Desert back yard, electrified with a Full shade roof; they also have a pair of ramps and a bridge connecting them to a yard space that is only meant for daytime use. Within the coop, they have a little hen house that we close nightly, then we lock the coop and secure the door across their bridge.

We have them not quite a year and we get 4-5 eggs a day at the moment.

At the moment, yes. PegLeg has been hopping around on one foot for about 2 weeks, she navigates the coop and yard just fine - but won't use the bridge. The primary Chicken Wrangler is on vacation, and I am the next in line to treat the bird.
I saw you posted in the ER and got some help with your hen. Hopefully, you'll have her good as new before the primary Chicken Wrangler gets home. :)
