Howdy, Peeps!

Glad to meet you. I like the way you think. Life is certainly too short to miss out on the delights of chickens. I enjoyed your fond description of your ladies, and look forward to more tales.

There are others here who are interested in permaculture. Enter that in the SEARCH bar and you will come across a surprising number of members who list that in their introduction or in other discussions. I am a mere dabbler, but very interested in how it works. Welcome to BYC!
No way! That's great. I gather there are not many in my state doing permaculture orchards.

Unfortunately - a sad tale today. Way to leave an impression on a new platform, right?...

I had the hens put up (or so I thought) and my Pyrenees went after two of them. I'm on another thread about dog attacks reading what others have said. Fortunately I have most of the stuff needed to do home care (saline, topical antibiotic, medical coop, etc).

The dog is in time out (photo is from when he was "a good dog," not today) and will be dealt with later by training or containment. My sweetie said the dog can be trained out of it. Here's hoping.

I'm sorry. I hope your hens recover.
