I have close to 30 young chickens that we got sometime in February/March or thereabouts. We started the year thinking we’d have six or so and then my husband had an attack of chicken math. We’ve got orpingtons, RIRs, green eggers, purebread mutt chickens and 4 bantams. And a Shelter Special puppy to (hopefully) keep raccoons and foxes off the property. It’s a good life and I was happy to find this community of other people who share the joy of chickens!
