Thanks, everybody for the warm welcome! Well, it's getting to be fall here in the desert - a cool 92 degrees and a nice breeze today! Don't think I'll even need to put the misters on for my hens this afternoon...have been trying to get the 'lil peepers (two 5-week old chicks) out in the evenings when it cools down a bit, but I have the opposite problem from most folks - I worry that if I stick 'em outside right now they'll get too HOT - LOL! So they are in the air-conditioned comfort of the house at the moment, and I hope they don't mind the smell of chicken cookin' in the crock-pot. It's not like it's anyone they know...
