New to being a momma hen, but I must say, I am totally addicted! Don't have a clue what we are doing and are making it up as we go, but BYC is a phenominal help!! Any advice is welcome!

I have visited the Learning Center!! It has a plethora of information!! It's great to feel like I'm not alone in this brand new experience.
Right now I don't think I am having any problems. I do notice sometimes when the girls are playing in the yard or maybe even just lounging around sometimes one of their " mouths is hanging open". It's that normal? They have plenty of fresh water.

Welcome to BYC! If they are hot they will pant with mouth open and wings held out to the side.

Liz X2. If they are warm, they will pant with wings open for a while til they chill out. Make sure they have good access to plenty of cool water. You can even put ice cubes in the water to keep it cool.
