My family has been raising chickens and ducks off and on since I was a child (about 45 years) and I have tried to pass on to my children the enjoyment that chickens can bring.
We sold all of our chickens last fall because our pens and coops needed to be torn down and rebuilt
Now we are ready to start all over again but I have devoloped a desire to try ornamental pheasent. I really like Lady Amhurst however I am having a problem finding a local breeder to aquire stock
In searching the web I happened on this site and really enjoyed the posts. I knew that I wanted to be part of BYC
As for hobbies I love to fish I also enjoy small building projects. I am often building cages, pens and indoor habitats for friends and my daughters friends.
My daughter works for a national pet store chain and she has a lot of friends with a lot of pets. She herself has a goat ,a cat, a chinchilla, 3 dogs and a bunch of fish. She is as excited as I am about starting our pheasent flock.
I will appreciate any help and information anyone can provide to make my pheasent quest a success.
