Howdy y'all ...new to chickens...not new to country ways!

Good for Thelma - sometimes kittens need a bit of "fear of Thelma," to become worthwhile cats later.

It's funny you say that. When they were first put into the run she would look through this small crack and could see them. I was certain she was going to be a problem and try to kill them when I first gave them free-range time. I actually locked her up the first couple of times where she could see them, but not get them. When I finally got up the nerve to let her loose while they were out I assumed I'd have to beat a cat, but she was infatuated with them. She actually watches over with them AND hangs out with them LOL Beats all I've ever seen, but Nip still keeps her on her toes.
They are not so tolerant of my old mama kitty.
