My name is Temma, I live in Texas, the south eastern region of central Texas. I have 4 kids, 1 (23, only boy) has flown the coop and is currently in the military, the rest are still here being homeschooled ages 15, 6 and 1.5 (all girls!

) by my husband and I. We have a small, 2 acre homesteading plot that has thus far accumulated 2 Plymouth Barred Rocks, 2 Production Reds, 3 Easter eggers, 1 Buff Orpington, and 2 little black Bantams, 4 juvenile Red Bourbon Turkeys and 10 chicks of the same breed, one goat (boer breed I think, but not sure), one redbone, black mouth Kurr mixed hound, 2 cats, and 2 ferrets. We also have a garden that is large enough to raise most of the veggies and fruits we eat. We are planning on getting guinea hens in the next few weeks as well for the garden.

That's the basics, I'm looking forward to meeting y'all. :)

thing...I mean, did you really catch the new guys name?

Dire Wolf?

There's some things I like in my coop. And there are other
things that I just plain don't want near my coop. I think a
"wolf" is the do-not-allow-in-the-coop list.

But seeing as how of the regulars have already welcomed
you...I guess I can take the chance.

But you gotta promise me, Wolf, that you won't bother our
chickens.

Well, seeing as how the Dire Wolf has been extinct for thousands of years and I got my handle from the Grateful Dead song 'Dire Wolf" I think your chickens are safe. :) I promise I won't bother your chickens...at least not often. hehe
