Thanks all for the warm welcome! I ordered my chicks today! Very excited! I ordered 2 Aracaunas, 4 Barred Rocks and 4 Black Star. I would very much like to raise them completely antibiotic free, anyone have any advice along those lines?

The best thing you can add to the chicks diet is probiotics! Gets them off to a really good start on life.

Hello valentine. I ordered my chicks from Texoma Feed and Garden. It's behind Green Market. I dont know the exact address, but I do all my business there. The owner is our 4H director. If he doesnt have it, he will figure out how to get it. Our chicks were ordered from Murray McMurray hatchery. I did do non medicated feed for the first 2 weeks or so, untill the small bag ran out. Then switched to the medicated, because that's all they had at the time. But all my chicks are doing great and very healthy and active. Mr. Wilson at Texoma Feed and Garden can definitely help you out.. I think the first order we ordered 6 different breeds.
