Well, I done posted a question before stopping to say "Howdy" so here I am. Name is Mark Kw and I have about 65 chickens which are predominantly mixed breeds. Lately I've been hatching some purebred Buff Orpingtons and a Buff Opr roo is going to replace the gamebird who is currently running the roost. I pen the girls at night to keep them safe, but they run (destroy) the yard all day. My driveway looks like a bombing range.

Is there some way you can fence off your driveway, to keep them off? I know a lot of folks say they poo all over their decks. I wonder if holographic scare tapes (Walmart has them) would work.

The driveway is covered in wood chips courtesy of the local electric utility. The mulch promotes excellent propagation of natural feedstock for the chickens ... plus they do a great job of keeping roaches away from the house. I've had plenty of practice avoiding potholes as I used to live in Pennsylvania.
