I'm new to all of this. I have 5 Black Austratorps they are about 6 months old one layed her first egg two days ago haven't found one since. does anyone know how to tell a rooster from a hen in this breed?? their feathers are rounded the crown on one is larger then the rest any help would be appreciated

Welcome to BYC! Posting pictures and having more experienced members ID them is probably the fastest way to get an answer to your gender questions. As with most birds, Australorps will have larger, pinker combs and pointed saddle and hackle feathers if they're male (and mature enough.)
