Hello! I’m Jessie- I’ve been watching this group and using it to answer basic bird questions for some time, and finally decided to join and try to contribute as well.
mom fairly new to chickens. I’ve been raising them for two years. Currently we have a small flock of 4- one Australorp and three silver laced Wyandottes. I also have two pekin ducks, that are about a year old.
I’m a vegetarian non-farmer bird mom lol. We use the chickens eggs, but I’m also the sort to take my bird to the vet for humane euthanasia, than to cull at home.
I’m a mama of 2, living in Utah, and working at an emergency veterinary clinic (for dogs and cats, no birds) as an office/CSR manager. I’ve been there for 12 years, and I love it.
I also am an avid crocheter, and sell my crochet patterns on Etsy
