Howdy everyone!

We've been raising and keeping chickens for a little over a decade, started with a flock of all rhodie reds and some silkies given to us by family. Right now we have a flock of 15, we had a few more, but due to some predation we lost those few.

Flock breed make-up is pretty varied with golden wyandottes, rhodie reds, easter eggers, speckled sussex, buffs, and plymouths.

Having chickens is just now apart of our lives at this point, we love watching the girls free range and it's always funny to watch them all crowd at the coop doorwaiting for their meal worm treat.

We also keep goats, right now we have a pair of Nigerian dwarf does. Other family has some bucks and we can't wait to have some kids running around bleating.

We're a pretty close knit family, large by today's standard (my parents had five kids) and like all family we have our disputes and bickering, but we rely on each other quite a bit.

We've used BYC as reference for years, finally decided it was time to sign up.
